It is truly amazing to wake up the next day after the procedure and see clearly. I want to thank Dr. Lin and his staff for treating like part of the family. He has truly changed my life and more importantly my vision. People always say that it never happens to me. Miguel Gutierrez  I have been wearing glasses since I was 8. I had always wanted to get away from having to wear glasses or be bothered with contact lenses, but was apprehensive about having someone “mess” with my eyes. Then one morning I was listening to 95.5 KLOS Los Angeles and heard an advertisement for Dr. Robert Lin. I wrote down the number and called. From the first initial phone contact, to the exam then the consultation, I knew that Dr. Lin and his staff cared about their patients with sincerity. They explained the procedure in a way that you didn’t have to go to medical school to understand.  All too often many of us
portray the victim when life hands us a lemon; not so for Isaiah Deresa. At
the tender age of 3, Isaiah lost his father to cancer. Raised by a single
mother, Isaiah chose to remove himself from an extremely negative
environment when his mother married an abusive man. At 14, he left home and
went to live with his grandmother in Montebello, CA. Four years later he was
the first in his family to graduate high school. Three months after his
graduation tragedy struck again when Isaiah’s grandmother passed away from
cardiac arrest. Isaiah found it difficult to balance both school and work in
order to make ends meet since he had no financial support of any kind.
Isaiah signed up for the Army and by 2004 Isaiah had completed tours in both
Iraq and Afghanistan. Since leaving the Army, Isaiah has rededicated himself
to finishing school. He attended Mount San Antonio College where he served
as the elected Student Trustee on the Mt. SAC Board of Trustees and an
Honors student. Isaiah subsequently transferred to the University of
California, Berkeley and is currently a Biology Scholar studying Molecular
Cell Biology. He intends to continue his education to graduate school and
pursue a PhD in Cancer Biology. We are more than honored to select Isaiah Deresa as our Steve Harvey Dreams Promotion for free
LASIK eye correction. Isaiah could have easily given in to life’s misfortunes, but he
was a determined individual who did not let adversity victimize him. Instead
he took the road less traveled and was able to achieve many life
accomplishments. Isaiah made one final comment that we all took to heart:
“…my accomplishments are proof that you make your own future, it is not
given to you.” Words that we could all learn to live by. Isaiah’s story is
one of diligence, inspiration and perseverance; and IQ Laser Vision

Even weeks after the procedure I am still amazed at the results! I actually see better than I did with contacts and glasses!
